HAVEN'T BEEN ASKED TO SERVE ON TEAM
LATELY????
1) Have you attended Leaders School in the past 5 years?
If not, you may have been inadvertently removed from all team experience lists.
Come to Leaders School and reconnect, AND/OR contact Dianne Yosua to make sure
you are on our lists. Leaders School Renewal is no longer a requirement to be
on team, but if it has been longer than 5 years since you have been, it is strongly
recommended!!
2) Does Tres Dias have your most current address, phone #, and e-mail
address?
We are finding that much of our contact information is outdated.
Rectors and rectresses rely on this information to contact you to serve on team.
If it is possible that we may not have your current contact information,
please send it to Dianne Yosua.

EXPERIENCED TEAM MEMBERS REQUESTED
If you are an experienced team member and might be
available on a last-minute basis to serve on a team with last minute cancellations, please
call Ken Bryant
@ 207-395-4762.

KAIROS
While the Kairos weekend is similar to Tres Dias in many ways, there are also significant
differences. For example, there is an inside
team (which is of necessity all men) and an outside team (which is made up of both men and
women). Another major difference -- the focus
is on residents who are leaders in the prison, regardless of their religious readiness for
the weekend. If you would like to find out
more about Kairos, there are several ways to do so.
One way to find out about Kairos in Maine is to contact other Tres Diastas who have
been involved in a weekend such as Dana Heath, Fred
Yosua, Manny Conchinha, Clint Daggett, and
others.
To find out about Kairos on an International scale,
see the Links section of this web site.
One thing is for sure: if you become involved, you will see miracles
happen!

KAIROS TORCH
Matthew 25:36:
I was in prison and you came to visit
me.
Torch Boys #3 will be held April 4-6, 2008 at Long Creek YDC in South
Portland.
First informational team meeting is Feb 2 at Long Creek 9AM - 4PM.
Clint Daggett at 636-3175,
Rector
The Kairos Torch ministry gives you the opportunity to work with Christian brothers and
sisters to introduce Christ to youth in great need of good news currently living at Long
Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland. To date we have put on two
weekends for the young men and one weekend for the small group of young women there at the
facility.
We are recruiting an ecumenical team to conduct a 2 ½ day weekend retreat for the youth.
Following the retreat, each team member will have a weekly, one on one, mentoring
relationship with one of these youths for 6 months. The prospective team member should be
worshiping regularly, willing to listen patiently, and have a desire to share Christ.
The Torch program is very structured. Training prior to the weekend will prepare you to
work in an environment of incarcerated youth and prepare you for the rules specific to the
Long Creek institution. In addition, you will get to know and have the support of a
terrific team of Christians, many of whom have experience in prison ministry. If you have
ever wanted to put the verse above in action, but were concerned about how to do that, or
doing it alone, this is your chance.
The need is great, the kids will be receptive (after some initial resistance), and you
could change a life. Why not find out more?
